Bloom is our graduate program, designed to shape the talents of tomorrow.
securing future growth
Our graduate program is a long-term approach for securing talent and advancing growth in the alliance, paving the way for a future where consultancy meets the demands of a fast-paced world. During a two-year program young consultants develop their skills by working on real projects alongside experienced consultants from companies within the alliance.

Barbara on future leadership
What challenges will future leaders face?
Today’s challenges are escalating. With rapid changes in society and the workplace, leaders will meet even greater uncertainty and complexity. To thrive, they must remain resilient and stable, providing assurance and direction to their teams. Our ”Consulting done right” approach will be key to navigating these challenges effectively.
What qualities are essential for future leaders?
Leaders must be able to set clear goals, leverage their team’s strengths, and help their team feel capable, even when things are complex and uncertain. Creating meaning and clarifying purpose are becoming increasingly important, especially for younger generations.
How does Bloom shape future leaders?
Bloom focuses on creating consultants who can tackle complex problems and confidently face big challenges in uncertain environments. By applying our ”Consulting done right” approach, we equip our consultants with the tools for sustainable performance. We also build strong networks across companies while shaping potential future leaders within the alliance.
What makes Bloom unique?
Consultants from companies with various niches go through the same core training, where everyone learns to work with and strengthen collective intelligence. The participants are quickly thrown into real client projects and are ”forced” to apply their newly acquired knowledge in real-world situations.
How does Bloom strengthen Newground Alliance?
With Bloom, we boost and empower the next generation of leaders. We bring in fresh perspectives and keep our vitality—reducing the risk of becoming stagnant and tackling new problems with traditional approaches. The younger generation provides us with less conventional viewpoints on current challenges.
A Bloomers first year of exploration
What were your expectations going into the Bloom program?
Going into my first year with little professional experience in this field, I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, my time as a consultant at Adage and Newground Alliance has been far more dynamic and rewarding than I could have imagined.
How has your first year as a consultant been?
Through my projects at Adage, I’ve begun my specialization in Data & Analytics and have gained a strong foundation in the field. Additionally, the Bloom program has helped me develop a deeper understanding of the management consulting role itself.
What insights have you gained about consulting?
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that becoming a great consultant takes time and consistent growth. While I’ve gained a lot of knowledge, I recognize there’s still so much more to learn and master as I move forward.
How has the Bloom program influenced your growth and development?
The most impactful aspect of my first year has been my client projects. Adage has invested in my growth by assigning me exciting, relevant projects where I’ve taken on significant roles with meaningful responsibilities. We regularly discuss which projects align best with my development, and I have the opportunity to provide input. As a young consultant, I’ve realized that challenging projects and responsibilities are key to pushing myself, improving, and growing. From my very first assignment, it became clear how much hands-on experience accelerates my development and how valuable it is for future opportunities.
